Who cares what it does?

A series of household timers are programmed to turn on a single light bulb in 5 billion years, about the time our Sun in the solar system will burn out.

WCWID is not a piece for compacting time, but for supplying time. It is a piece that is useless for fast consumption and awe. To see what it is, will take time. More time than any human has. More time that the Earth has left.

The title is a reference to the song "Who Loves the Sun" by the Velvet Underground (1970).
